The WebViewer can be installed as a Windows service (the recommended mode for productive systems) using the batch file Install_WebViewer_Service.bat. The full paths in this file must be adjusted beforehand. Administrator privileges are required to run the batch file.

You can also install ViewStationWeb.exe as a service by using Windows PowerShell.

After installing the service please check the account running the WebViewer as service (Windows Service > Properties (of WebViewer service)> Log On tab > Logon as).

The service should run under an account that is allowed to start the HTTP/Web socket server on defined ports, write to defined logging paths, and read your model repository. Please change the Windows Service > Properties (of WebViewer service) > Recovery tab to Restart the service on every failure.
