"No allow rule found in windows firewall for tcp <port>, license checkout might not be accessible"
▪Check that you have allowed the configured ports in your firewall.
▪If you are using a third-party firewall (or no firewall at all), you can ignore this message. We can only check this successfully, if the Windows firewall is active.
"Network error 995 on TCP connect: The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request."
This error occurs when the 3DViewStation cannot reach the License Manager. Another indicator here is the 3-second timeout on the client, visible in the timestamps in the log files.
Possible reasons can be:
▪Check the network connection on the PC running the 3DViewStation. A VPN connection may be required.
▪The License Manager is not running.
▪The required ports on the server running the License Manager are not opened.
▪The 3DVS.lic contains the hostname, which can not be resolved. Try the IP address instead.
"TCP error on read: End of file (error code 2)" and "Server received an invalid message by x.x.x.x (Message: …)"
These two errors can occur if a program other than the 3DViewStation sends messages to the server running the License Manager on the configured port (default 6200).
Another reason can be a 3DViewStation with an old floating license which is communicating over the x-formation interface and therefore sending other messages than expected by the new License Manager. To check the version, open the 3DVS.lic in a text editor. If the value of "Floating" is 1, contact your admin orders-viewer@kisters.de.
